Hair Colour Correction

Not happy with your current colour? Our colour correction service is designed to restore balance, tone and confidence to your hair. Whether hair colouring has gone too dark, turned brassy or lifted unevenly, we take a thoughtful, step-by-step approach to assess and correct the issue.

At Amore 'D' Hair Studio, we begin with a thorough consultation to understand your hair history, the products used and the condition of your strands. From there, we’ll create a tailored plan that may involve colour balancing, tone neutralising or gradual lightening—always with your hair’s health in mind.

Our goal is to deliver a fresh result that looks natural, suits your features and supports long-term hair health.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I prepare for my colour service?

If you haven’t visited us before, it’s essential to book a complimentary colour consultation first. During this appointment, your stylist will assess your hair in person and ask about your hair history. A colour match will be done, and we’ll discuss your options and share our recommendations. This is your opportunity to ask any questions or share your preferences around colour, maintenance or results. Your colour appointment will be booked at the end of your consultation.

  • What type of hair colour should I ask for?

It largely depends upon your commitment to your hair colour of choice and how much grey you have. If you have just a little grey or are not fully committed to your colour, then a semi-permanent would be your best option. It is also the kindest option when caring about damage to your hair. If you are fully committed to your colour or your grey is no longer being covered, then you would be better suited to a permanent colour.

  • How long will our colour last?

This depends on a number of things like what kind of colour you are using. A semi-permanent colour washes out, so that would depend on how frequently you shampoo your hair. On average, most of our clients get four to six weeks out of their semi-permanent colours. A permanent colour, on the other hand, grows out, and so again, most people get four to six weeks depending on how quickly their hair grows.

  • How do we care for our colour?

    • Wait to wash your hair for at least five days.
    • Try to wash your hair less frequently—once or twice a week using cooler temperature water is advised.
    • Use a colour care shampoo and conditioner and avoid using heated styling tools.
    • Use heat protection styling products when blow-drying or styling your hair with heated styling tools.
    • Avoid excessive sun exposure; wear a hat if possible.
    • Avoid chlorine and salt water as much as possible, as they can influence colour fading, as can sun exposure. If you swim a lot, then rinse your hair thoroughly after swimming and condition.
